P.T.C.P. Coordination table

Office for province coordination in the drawing up of the new Provincial Territorial Coordination Plans (P.T.P.C.)

By decision of the Regional Council no. 2562 dated 13th September 2005, as provided for by art. 50 of the Regional Law no. 11/04 on the government of the territory, the Veneto Region has opened a permanent table for debate aimed to coordinate the drawing up of the Provincial Territorial Coordination Plans (P.T.C.P.) trying to overcome pyramid and hierarchical control structure and favour cooperation between institutions with different competences.

The Office for province coordination in the drawing up of the new Provincial Territorial Coordination Plans, whose works are attended by representatives of the Region and of the Provinces, is a moment of cooperation and confrontation in which the works and goals of a synergic co-planning among the institutions are shared.
Only cooperation by competence and not by level enables the actors operating on the territory to achieve common objectives.

One of the first themes the table has tackled are the problems arising from the drawing up of the region profile and from the application of the project tables: it was therefore proposed a partial review of the “Atti di indirizzo regionali” (implementation acts, approved pursuant to art. 50 of the Regional Law no. 11/04) aimed to systematically review the matrixes of the region profile concerning the preparation of the PTCP.
The table works have then dealt with the themes and problems typical of territorial planning that are gradually detected during the drawing up of the plans.

On 26th February the Regional Council definitively approved the Decision of the Regional Council no. 397/2008 for integration and partial amendment of the “Atti di Indirizzo” pursuant to art. 50 of the Regional Law no. 11 dated 23rd April 2004, “Regulations for the government of the territory” (Decision of the Regional Council no. 3178 dated 8th October 2004).
